Critical Creativity: Climate Change, Art, & Activism
Breanna was the guest speaker for Creative Mornings Dallas for the August theme of “Critical.” Climate change is the critical issue of our time and Breanna shared her journey of weaving climate action messaging into her art, apparel, and body painting work.
Breanna’s work for The Ocean Agency’s Glowing Gone campaign was featured in the East Dallas Advocate, a local print and online magazine featuring news from the East Dallas area.
Luke Poling and Heidi Hedquist, hosts of Why? The Podcast, invited Breanna to share all about what it takes to be a body painter. Breanna talks about how she first got into body painting by painting herself. Then they go on to discuss her creative process, including what paints she uses, how people should prep before they’re painted on, the physicality of being a painter (and model), and what sorts of requests she gets.
